Night Time or bed positioning

When someone is “confined to bed” or has prolonged periods of bed rest, sometimes because they have been deemed “un-sitable” destructive and damaging habits can form.

Good posture management in the bed also helps manage pressure care as well as overall wellbeing. Right Stuff© is a collection of products developed by Osteopoise Healthcare that draws from almost 2 decades of experience, working with Nurses, Physiotherapists Occupational Therapists, posture management specialists, carers and patients who have identified that improving night time positioning and support in bed whilst maintaining a more symmetrical body shape is a key priority. This follows on from our efforts with daytime posture management in the form of supportive, and corrective solutions for wheelchairs and other care and ergonomic seating solutions, the synergy between both areas is remarkable, a good posture system covers the entire 24hr period and the two compliment each other like a hand in a glove.

RightStuff© provides a simple and effective solution to complex posture problems at a very competitive price point

Pressure Care

Pressure care is at the heart of what we do, pressure care is integral to sitting, sleeping, and transferring from one surface to another.  Our products promote better posture, improve skin health and reduce the risks linked to pressure damage which can easily occur if the right kind of strategies as well as pressure reducing products are not used.

As we age, our skin becomes thinner, more fragile, and less elastic, which makes it more susceptible to damage and injury ⁴. One of the most common injuries that elderly people face is pressure ulcers, also known as bedsores ¹. These are areas of damage to the skin and underlying tissue caused by prolonged pressure on the skin. Pressure ulcers usually form on bony parts of the body, such as the heels, elbows, hips, and tailbone ¹.

Pressure care is essential for elderly people because they are more likely to develop pressure ulcers due to their decreased mobility and prolonged periods of sitting or lying down ¹. The risk of developing pressure ulcers increases with age, and it is estimated that up to 70% of elderly people in care homes suffer from them ¹.
